The Path to Redefine Self Believe

Most individuals suffer because of the not-knowing. Transgenders in India still struggle among themselves due to lack of knowledge. Before we discuss possible treatments, let's talk about some facts. Gender incongruence and gender dysphoria are the two primary aspects of beginning the sex change surgery.

Understanding Gender Dysphoria

Gender incongruence, often termed as Gender Dysphoria or Gender Identity Disorder refers to the mismatch between one’s assigned sex at birth and the gender they identify with. For those who experience gender dysphoria, this misalignment can cause distress and affect emotional well-being.

Recognizing this, the World Health Organization (WHO) has classified gender incongruence as a condition requiring care and support, emphasizing the importance of gender-affirming treatments like surgery for many transgender individuals. At Kaayakalp Transgender Clinic, we offer expert gender-affirming surgeries designed to help you foster self-confidence and improve your quality of life.

Understanding Gender Change Surgery

Once an individual is diagnosed with gender dysphoria and underwent hormonal therapy; it’s time for visible change. Sex Reassignment Surgery (SRS), also known as Gender Affirming Surgery, is designed to help individuals transition physically to their believed gender identity.

While there are misconceptions that gender-affirming surgeries make individuals “different” or “unusual,” the truth is that these procedures help transgender individuals live their life the fullest, allowing them to be seen and respected for who they truly are. Sex change surgery in India provides an opportunity to integrate one’s gender identity with their body, offering the freedom to live without constant discomfort & low-esteem.

Types of Gender Affirming Surgeries

MTF (Male-to-Female) Surgeries

For those transitioning from male to female (MtF), here are some common procedures performed to achieve the desired feminine physique:

  • Breast Augmentation: Treatments like breast implants or fat grafting creates a fuller, more natural-looking breasts aligned with female body shape.

    • Corrective SRS: Additional surgeries to improve the outcomes of earlier genital procedures.

For those transitioning from female to male (FtM), below are the treatment that helps achieve a masculine body:
